“Conscious creation.”
There was such great response to our first interview with Leonard Szymczak that I had to ask him back. Lucky for us, he said “yes!” (You can listen to the first interview by clicking here.)
Leonard Szymczak is an author and psychotherapist living in California. In this second interview, Leonard explains the six steps to “Consciously Create” our lives and work. Conscious creation is a key factor in knowing one’s self so I am very happy to have Leonard expand on this topic for us.
For a complete explanation of how to consciously create your life and work, check out Leonard’s latest book, The Roadmap Home: Your GPS to Inner Peace.
The Six Steps for Conscious Creation
- Identify a need.
- Clarify an intention.
- Stating the intention clearly.
- Knowing and creating.
- Review roadblocks.
- Allow and be grateful. (My personal stumbling block.)
I really enjoy talking to Leonard and hope you guys enjoy this call, too.

Very interesting interview with Leonard Szymczak on conscious creation. So much to think about and discuss but the point that I really hung onto was the concept of people changing. I think we often hang our hats on the “excuse” that people don’t change or that change isn’t easy and I loved that Leonard pointed out that actually change is easy and that we are changing all of the time. I really like that approach…it takes the “cop-out” tendency out of the possibility of change. I much prefer to think of us as dynamic and fluid and that change is what makes us interesting. It is also what gives us the power to pursue our conscious creation. If we don’t acknowledge that we do, in fact, change, we can’t create our intentions towards a satisfying outcome.
You hit yet another home run with this fascinating interview, Betty Jean…thank you!!!
I’m glad you enjoyed the interview ParkRidgeDDS! That was one of my favorite points on the call, too. Leonard is right about change being easy… it is all about our mindset. I think about trying to change habits, for instance. It feels hard to change habits but in reality, it is our own personal resistance that is causing the change to be difficult. Our own mindset. Not the change itself. You are totally on point, ParkRidge (Claudia). It is all about “acknowledging that we do, in fact, change.”
Thanks for the comment! I love hearing from you!
